This really a fairly old photo from a Halloween before I had even heard of KiSS dolls!

That year I went as Barbarella. If you don't know who Barbarella is, you're probably younger than I am. She's the title character from a sci-fi B-movie starring Jane Fonda and based on a French comic book. I thought it would be an impressive costume but only one person knew who I was all night.

Well, I thought it was a good costume. I made it myself, even Barbarella's signature futuristic crossbow.

The big Halloween party that year was being held in the Holiday Inn but, wouldn't you know it, it was the night of the biggest blizzard of that year. The snow was thick and visibility was low but, after spending so much time on my costume, I wasn't about to let that stop me. It took an hour to drive through the blizzard slow enough to still be able to see but we made it to the party and we danced the night away. The party was being held by the local gay pride "soror" and, while I didn't win the costume contest (because nobody recognized my character), I got hit on by several very sweet lesbians. It was great fun!
