I downloaded the stories and extracted them but Kamishibai doesn't show them!

All of the stories available for download from Otaku World are stored in self-extracting archives. That is, you download the file and then you run it to extract the contents. When you download the story file, you have to put it into the Kamishibai folder (the folder that holds the shibai.exe file) before you run it. When you do execute the downloaded story file, just click on the Extract button in the dialog box that appears. The archive will automatically create the Stories folder (if it doesn't already exist), the folder that contains the specific story, and all the folders required for the resources for that story.
You must run the downloaded story archive to extract the story. Kamishibai will not do this for you -- it doesn't know how amd I have no plans to tell it how.
If you accidentally put the archive in the Stories folder and run it, it will create the Stories folder again inside the existing Stories folder. Inside that new Stories folder, the extracted story will appear. However, Kamishibai will only look in the first Stories folder for stories. This is how you can end up in the situation of extracting the story but having Kamishibai not be able to find the story. The fix is to go to the File Explorer and move the specific story folder into the proper Stories folder.
For example, suppose you have installed Kamishibai in the default location:
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai
Inside this folder, there is a folder called Stories:
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai\Stories
Inside the Stories folder, all of the stories appear. For example, "The Legend of Ika Takozushi" is in the folder Takozushi inside the Stories folder:
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai\Stories\Takozushi
That Takozushi folder contains all the files needed for that story. If you download a story, for example, Angel of Destruction, and extract it properly, it appears in the folder Angel in the Stories folder:
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai\Stories\Angel
If you accidentally put the downloaded story into the Stories folder and ran it to extract "Angel of Destruction", you would end up with this:
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai\Stories\Stories\Angel
Kamishibai won't look in that second Stories folder for stories: it simply doesn't know how. To fix this situation, you need to move the Angel folder up one level to the first Stories folder:
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai\Stories\Stories
c:\Program Files\Accursed Toys\Kamishibai\Stories\Angel
And then delete the second Stories folder (you don't need or want it there).
