KiSS and FKiSS Terminology

ambiguous
An ambiguous cel is a single cel file which is used in more than one place in a KiSS artform. While all KiSS viewers will allow this for normal KiSS, not all viewers support ambiguous cels in FKiSS commands. Direct KiSS supports ambiguous cels in FKiSS.

lzh
LZH is a compressed archival format. If you're not familiar with LZH, you may be familiar with other formats such as ZIP or SIT. Although LZH is not widely used in the Western world, it is the most popular compression format among Japanese users. It is the official compression format of KiSS artforms.

millisecond
a millisecond is one one-thousandth of a second: 1/1000. Or to put it another way, there are 1000 milliseconds in one second.

play field
This is where the KiSS artform is displayed after you open it.

procedure
(FKiSS) A procedure is a programming term that consists of a set of actions that are executed in sequence to accomplish a task. The actions associated with an event can be considered procedures, although they are more usually known as event handlers. More commonly, a set of actions associated with a label is considered a procedure.
